Senior Platform Engineer

Castor is modernizing the backbone of clinical research by building an operating system for the next era of trials. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will build the foundations that empower our product developers to ship secure, reliable services at scale, bridging the gap between code and production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions that allow product teams to run containerized services seamlessly.
• Develop internal best practices, guidelines, and documentation to help developers navigate cloud infrastructure.
• Write and maintain code for centrally managed services while improving security and reliability.
• Manage our centralized messaging infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Contribute to technical documentation and Architecture Decision Records to keep our ecosystem transparent and stable.

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, preferably Python or Go.
• Solid experience deploying and optimizing solutions on a major cloud provider, such as Azure or GCP.
• Strong grasp of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and the containerization ecosystem like Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and message brokers, with the ability to take ownership of critical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with monitoring server and application performance, combined with troubleshooting skills for distributed environments.
