Senior Platform Engineer (Azure)

Svitla Systems is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join a fully remote team supporting a leading multinational company in the building materials industry. You will play a pivotal role in architecting and operating a cloud-native Data Platform on Azure, focusing on infrastructure automation, Kubernetes operations, and robust security practices.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deliver self-service platform capabilities across Azure while aligning the roadmap with business strategy and cost targets.
• Automate infrastructure using IaC tools like OpenTofu and Crossplane, and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Argo Rollouts.
• Drive DevSecOps initiatives by integrating workload identity, policy-as-code, and advanced secrets management.
• Operate and scale Kubernetes fleets on AKS, ensuring high availability and implementing observability through OpenTelemetry and Grafana.
• Lead incident response efforts and mentor platform and SRE engineers to foster continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
• Deep expertise in Azure cloud delivery and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes (AKS), including service mesh and microservices at production scale.
• Advanced skills in IaC, CI/CD, and scripting languages such as Go, Python, or Bash.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud security, including zero-trust models, IAM, and supply-chain security.
