Senior PHP Engineer with AI / LLM

ITEAMLY is looking for a Senior PHP Engineer to join our team in building modern backend systems and innovative AI-powered product features. This role is ideal for an experienced developer who enjoys working on scalable architecture and is eager to integrate LLMs and AI tools into real-world product development.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and developing robust backend services using PHP and modern frameworks.
• Building and maintaining REST APIs, complex integrations, and core business logic.
• Supporting the development of AI-powered features using LLMs, OpenAI API, and Claude.
• Working on AI automation, prompt engineering, and backend integrations with AI services.
• Improving application architecture, scalability, maintainability, and overall system performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a PHP Backend Engineer or Senior Developer.
• Very good knowledge of PHP 8+ and modern backend development practices.
• Proven experience with frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, and relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Practical interest or hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools and prompt engineering.
• English proficiency allowing for daily technical communication.
