Senior PHP Engineer (Drupal)

Appliscale is looking for a Senior PHP Engineer to join a high-impact technical SEO team. In this role, you will take full ownership of the architecture, performance, security, and deployment processes for a critical production site, working with modern Drupal 10 environments.

Key responsibilities

• Developing custom Drupal 10 modules using PHP 8.x, Symfony components, and Twig templating.
• Driving technical SEO implementation, including URL structure, redirects, Core Web Vitals optimization, and structured data.
• Monitoring system health and site performance using Datadog to ensure high availability and stability.
• Executing regular security patches, Drupal updates, and core upgrades.
• Scoping and assessing the complexity of new features while participating in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Drupal 10.
• Mastery of PHP 8.x, the Symfony framework, and Twig templating.
• Solid understanding of technical SEO principles and performance optimization techniques.
• Autonomous, proactive mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and take end-to-end ownership.
• Foundational familiarity with TypeScript and JavaScript, supported by a Computer Science degree.
