Andersen is seeking a Senior Ontology Engineer to join a project focused on building a large-scale Knowledge Graph and delivering AI-powered data and identity solutions. You will work with a global technology provider to model complex relationships between audiences, content, brands, and behavioral data to help organizations make informed business decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design, development, and versioning of core RDF/RDFS/OWL ontologies and SHACL validation frameworks.
- Define ontology standards, derived-attribute schemas, and governance practices aligned with W3C and industry standards.
- Lead ontology design reviews and translate business requirements into scalable knowledge graphs and semantic data models.
- Co-design derivation and transformation pipelines with Data Engineering teams using Databricks and Spark.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in ontology engineering, semantic data modeling, or knowledge graph development.
- Deep expertise in W3C semantic web standards including RDF, RDFS, OWL, SPARQL 1.1, and SHACL.
- Proven experience building and validating graph schemas in production triplestores such as Amazon Neptune, Stardog, or GraphDB.
- Strong proficiency in Python for building production-quality data pipelines and graph processing workflows.
- Practical understanding of entity resolution, record linkage, and the trade-offs between OWL expressivity and system scalability.
