Senior NLP Engineer

Social Discovery Group is a global leader in social discovery, uniting millions of users through innovative platforms designed to foster virtual intimacy and connection. We are currently seeking a Senior NLP Engineer to join our international team of digital nomads and help shape the future of our AI-driven social products.

Key responsibilities

• Train and fine-tune language models powering our AI companions.
• Own and improve agent harnesses, agentic loops, and the chat interface algorithm.
• Build and maintain the full LLM stack, from model training to production deployment.
• Track cutting-edge NLP research and translate developments into an actionable roadmap.
• Collaborate with validation and dataset teams to design experiments and measure model quality.

Requirements

• Deep experience in training and fine-tuning large language models.
• Hands-on experience building agent harnesses and agentic pipelines.
• Strong understanding of RLHF, DPO, and other alignment or post-training techniques.
• Proficiency with transformers, PyTorch, and related machine learning libraries.
• Experience at AI-focused startups or companies is a strong plus.
