Senior Network Engineer Firewall (Check Point / Fortinet)

emagine Polska is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to provide technical leadership and coordination for firewall technologies. This role focuses on the operational management of Check Point and Fortinet environments, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance within a large-scale infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Managing firewall configurations and ensuring continuous performance optimization.
• Handling major incidents and executing planned configurations according to established change management processes.
• Conducting thorough testing, validation, and quality assurance of firewall settings.
• Monitoring network security environments and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.
• Ensuring all infrastructure activities meet strict compliance and security standards.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Check Point (CCSE or higher) and Fortinet (NSE 4 or higher) technologies.
• Proven ability in technical leadership, mentoring, and team coordination.
• Strong understanding of ITIL methodologies and operational management.
• Fluency in English, with German language skills considered a significant advantage.
• Desirable knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Python, and monitoring solutions like CheckMK.
