Senior MySQL Administrator

Cyclad is seeking a skilled Senior MySQL Administrator to join a project focused on maintaining and evolving a distributed database environment that supports critical payment systems. This role involves hands-on database administration and close collaboration with development and QA teams across both on-premise and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain MySQL databases and clustering solutions.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness for critical systems.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries and indexes.
• Manage backup and recovery processes, including hot backups.
• Collaborate with development teams on schema design and application profiling.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a MySQL Database Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL architecture, replication, and clustering.
• Proven experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
• Experience with AWS RDS Aurora.
• Ability to work independently in production environments.
