Senior ML Engineer

Project Overview

Join the team as a Senior ML Engineer at Rite NRG and help build an intelligent software solution supporting operations in warehouse and production hall environments. The project focuses on developing and improving ML-driven decision systems for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) or warehouse carts, optimizing their routes, task allocation, and overall operational efficiency. The goal is to enhance the current system with smarter planning, real-time optimization, and better calibration for logistics processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ML/optimization solutions supporting routing, task allocation, and logistics in warehouse/production environments
• Analyze operational and process data to identify patterns, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities
• Build and evaluate algorithms for routing, scheduling, and decision support
• Collaborate with the Product Delivery Manager to translate business and operational needs into practical ML solutions
• Integrate ML components into the broader software ecosystem via APIs and backend services
• Take ownership of the ML/optimization domain, including experimentation, validation, iteration, and production deployment
• Contribute to architectural decisions focusing on scalability, maintainability, and long-term product development

Requirements

• Min. 6+ years of commercial experience in Machine Learning / Data Science roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and data libraries (NumPy, Pandas)
• Proven experience designing or implementing optimization algorithms, routing/scheduling systems, or decision support solutions
• Solid understanding of ML fundamentals, model evaluation, and real-world deployment constraints
• Experience working with structured and operational data for feature engineering and performance analysis
• Ability to work independently and take ownership in an evolving product environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, business-oriented mindset
• Experience integrating ML/optimization services with software products via APIs or data pipelines
• Senior-level communication skills and ability to cooperate effectively in a small, high-responsibility team
• Fluent in Polish and advanced English (B2+/C1 level)

Nice to have

• Experience in logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, or production-support systems
• Background in optimization problems (routing, scheduling, task allocation)
• Experience with simulation frameworks (SimPy, custom environments)
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and cloud platforms
• Background in solutions where ML directly improves operational efficiency
• Experience in building systems where ML/algorithms directly improve operational efficiency
