Senior Machine Learning Software Engineer

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Software Engineer to join the Fusion Collaborative Research and Innovation team. This role focuses on bridging the gap between machine learning research and production software, helping to integrate advanced AI capabilities into our industry-leading CAD/CAM product.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robust software prototypes demonstrating applications of machine learning models.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes to improve research and development velocity.
• Collaborate with software architects to plan the integration of research projects into production environments.
• Build and maintain data pipelines to facilitate the machine learning lifecycle.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker while advocating for best practices in code development.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ with experience in maintaining complex code bases.
• Strong documentation skills for effective code hand-offs and architectural planning.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down large tasks into manageable components.
