Senior Machine Learning Founding Engineer

Yard Corporate is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Founding Engineer to join a high-potential AI venture backed by a significant $100M+ investment. The team is building next-generation, AI-native workspace software focused on Agentic AI, moving beyond simple chatbots to create systems capable of multi-step reasoning and persistent context management.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy production-grade ML systems that power proactive AI agents and complex task-triage workflows.
• Own the full ML lifecycle, including data curation, model fine-tuning, inference optimization, and production monitoring.
• Develop reliable agentic logic and guardrails for secure interaction with external tools and APIs.
• Translate state-of-the-art LLM research into high-availability software that handles real-world user workflows.
• Provide technical leadership by setting engineering standards and mentoring team members.

Requirements

• Proven track record of architecting, deploying, and maintaining production-grade AI/ML systems at scale.
• Strong software design principles with a focus on building robust, scalable systems rather than one-off scripts.
• Deep understanding of modern foundation model behavior, function calling, and edge-case resolution.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive projects independently under production constraints like latency and cost.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
