Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Finom is a rapidly growing European fintech startup dedicated to revolutionizing financial management for entrepreneurs through an all-in-one, mobile-first platform. We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to take full ownership of our Dynamic Risk Score system, playing a critical role in our mission to prevent financial crime and streamline business operations across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy full-stack machine learning models for binary classification and regression to detect and prevent financial crime.
• Own and evolve the Dynamic Risk Score system, ensuring daily scoring of our entire client base across all active markets.
• Manage and optimize transaction rules integrated with ML-driven detection to improve performance and alert accuracy.
• Implement continuous monitoring of model performance and establish champion-challenger frameworks for production environments.
• Design and improve infrastructure for ML model operationalization to support complex service interactions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Full-stack Data Scientist with a focus on production deployment.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience using cloud data platforms like Databricks.
• Proven architectural skills in designing and maintaining infrastructure for serving machine learning models.
• Experience with model monitoring and A/B evaluation techniques in live production environments.
• Quantitative educational background and full professional proficiency in English.
