Senior Java Developer with Apache Kafka (f/m/x)

Sii is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join a team focused on building a modern enterprise data integration and processing platform. This role involves developing scalable backend services and microservices within a complex global logistics environment, with a strong emphasis on event-driven architecture and system modernization.

Key responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implementing robust event-driven architectures and data-processing solutions leveraging Apache Kafka.
• Building complex enterprise integrations between internal and external systems using APIs and asynchronous communication.
• Participating in technical design and solution architecture discussions to provide expertise in distributed systems.
• Supporting the modernization of legacy applications into scalable, maintainable, and cloud-ready solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of commercial software development experience with strong senior-level Java expertise.
• Extensive hands-on production experience with Apache Kafka and a valid Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka (CCDAK) certification.
• Proven track record in designing and building microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Practical experience working with distributed systems, enterprise integrations, and data processing.
• Very good English communication skills for effective collaboration in an international environment.
