Senior Java Developer

Harvey Nash Technology is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a dynamic fintech project. You will play a key role in modernizing legacy systems and implementing cutting-edge AI-driven development practices to enhance performance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Modernize legacy Java services through AI-assisted analysis, refactoring, and comprehensive testing.
• Build and maintain AI-powered CI/CD pipelines featuring automated code reviews, test generation, and security scanning.
• Develop MCP servers and LLM-based tooling to support other engineering teams.
• Deliver measurable improvements in API speed, system performance, and overall reliability.

Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional Java backend experience with deep expertise in Spring Boot.
• Proven track record in modernizing legacy systems at scale within high-reliability domains like fintech or banking.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, locking, and atomics in production environments.
• Practical experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
• Solid knowledge of microservices architecture and advanced API design principles.
• Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher.
