Senior Java Developer

Avenga is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our Ad Engineering team. You will play a key role in building and maintaining a highly scalable, real-time advertising platform that processes millions of requests daily, focusing on low latency and high throughput in a distributed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale, high-performance, real-time applications.
• Build and optimize distributed systems focused on scalability, reliability, and low latency.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to deliver robust and maintainable software solutions.
• Ensure high code quality by following engineering best practices, testing, and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate technical solutions effectively.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building large-scale, low-latency distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java and experience developing production-grade applications.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, multithreading, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with distributed caching, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms like AWS.
• 1+ years of experience with Apache Kafka and familiarity with Big Data technologies.
