Senior Java Developer (OpenShift)

Senior Java Developer (OpenShift)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java microservices (Spring Boot) integrating with databases, APIs, and Kafka/AMQ
• Containerize applications (Docker/S2I) and optimize images for performance and security
• Deploy and operate services on OpenShift (deployments, routes, services, config/secrets, operators)
• Build CI/CD using Tekton and manage GitOps flows via Argo CD
• Implement observability: logs, metrics, alerts (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki/EFK)
• Automate tasks using Bash, PowerShell, Python, oc CLI, Helm/Kustomize
• Apply DevSecOps practices: image & dependency scanning (Trivy, Clair, Snyk), RBAC, secure coding
• Tune JVM and troubleshoot performance issues in containerized workloads

Requirements:

• Strong Java & Spring Boot experience
• Practical experience with OpenShift and containerization
• CI/CD knowledge (Tekton, Maven/Gradle, GitOps/Argo CD)
• Familiarity with observability tools and cloud‑native troubleshooting
• Understanding of DevSecOps and automation scripting

Nice to have:

• Java Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Java SE 11 or 17 / Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) – Java SE
• Cloud‑Native & Container Certifications: Red Hat OpenShift Developer (DO288) / Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift administration (EX280) / Kubernetes certifications: CKA / CKAD / CKS
