(Senior) Java Developer - Freelance

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend systems for processing large volumes of data.
• Develop and maintain robust, high-performance APIs for data integration and access.
• Build, optimize, and maintain ETL pipelines for efficient data ingestion and transformation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.
• Mentor and support other engineers while ensuring high standards of security and maintainability.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with JVM-based languages such as Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
• Solid experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience in designing distributed, high-performance systems and cloud platforms.
• Practical knowledge of performance optimization, low-latency systems, and database tuning.
• Excellent communication skills in English at a C1 level and a senior-level mindset.
