Senior iOS Developer (freelance)

Intent is an AI-native, fully remote team specializing in designing and co-creating connected devices, wearables, and health-tech hardware. We are looking for a Senior iOS Developer to join us on a freelance basis to help build innovative solutions that bridge the gap between software and physical hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain iOS applications that communicate with hardware peripherals over BLE.
• Participate in the specification, planning, and estimation of new features and modules.
• Write and maintain unit tests using a TDD mindset with tools like XCTest or Quick/Nimble.
• Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitHub Actions or Bitrise.
• Collaborate closely with firmware engineers, designers, and project managers while utilizing AI tools to enhance daily workflows.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience writing production-level Swift code.
• Strong, hands-on experience with BLE integration and connected devices.
• Proficiency in Swift structured concurrency and functional reactive programming.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and unit testing discipline.
• Excellent communication skills in English, as our clients are primarily based in the US.
• A proactive mindset focused on problem-solving, ownership, and technical curiosity.
