Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer

Dropbox is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer to help design and build the robust systems that support our global platform. You will play a critical role in shaping our technological backbone, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Build infrastructure capable of managing metadata for hundreds of billions of files and handling hundreds of petabytes of user data.
• Lead the expansion of our data-fabric to connect millions of applications, devices, and services globally.
• Measure and optimize our analytics platform to maintain its status as an industry leader in data insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the performance, reliability, and security of our infrastructure.
• Navigate ambiguous situations and drive improvements in current project states to impact broader business initiatives.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 9 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven track record of constructing and managing expansive, multi-threaded, geographically dispersed backend systems.
• Proficiency in programming and debugging across languages such as Python, Go, C/C++, or Java.
• Ability to take ownership of long-term projects and set medium-to-long term technical strategy.
