Senior Information Security Infrastructure Engineer - Security Architecture - In

Elastic is looking for a Senior Information Security Infrastructure Engineer to join our InfoSec - Security Architecture team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end security telemetry pipeline, ensuring that critical data is consistently ingested into Elasticsearch and that our underlying clusters remain healthy and performant.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines for security-relevant data, including cloud provider audit logs, identity activity, and endpoint data.
• Manage and monitor Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes clusters, handling version upgrades, capacity planning, and index lifecycle management.
• Utilize Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure and Elasticsearch resources as code.
• Implement AI-driven automation and tooling to reduce operational toil, including self-healing jobs and health checks.
• Ensure high data quality and reliability by monitoring backfills and maintaining consistent schemas across security telemetry.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating Elasticsearch in production, including managing ingest pipelines, templates, and mappings.
• Strong proficiency with Kubernetes, including deploying workloads, managing Helm charts, and troubleshooting clusters.
• Experience managing cloud and Elasticsearch resources using Terraform.
• Ability to integrate with third-party REST APIs, handling authentication, pagination, and rate limiting.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and ingestion tasks.
