Senior Fullstack Engineer (Java + Angular)

Warsaw Hub at Helvetia Baloise Group is looking for an experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer to join a small, international team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing vertical slices of a new life-insurance underwriting portal, working across the entire stack from database to frontend.

Key responsibilities

• Developing a new underwriting referral portal using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and PostgreSQL.
• Taking end-to-end ownership of features, including database schema design, backend modules, and frontend screens.
• Designing secure authorization models for multi-organization access.
• Reviewing and validating AI-assisted code and technical documentation.
• Contributing to software architecture, engineering standards, and technical decision-making.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Java 21+, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, and advanced SQL.
• Experience with JUnit 5, Testcontainers, and Playwright for automated testing.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, OpenAPI, and access-control models.
• Strong code-review skills and a focus on software quality and maintainability.
• Fluent English communication skills.
