Senior Full-Stack Kotlin Engineer (Freelance/Service Agreement)

Flix is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Kotlin Engineer to join our distributed, cross-functional team. You will play a key role in building and scaling products that manage station inventory, directly impacting the travel experience for millions of passengers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage roadmap epics and align technical requirements with product owners.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to refine and improve the product vision.
• Support the development process within an agile environment through pair programming and code reviews.
• Deliver new product versions using continuous integration and delivery practices.
• Ensure high-quality operations and testing standards across the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on JVM languages and commercial Kotlin expertise.
• Proficiency in modern front-end development stacks.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, including knowledge of CQRS, event sourcing, and domain-driven design.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure deployment and DevOps best practices.
• Strong system design and architectural skills combined with excellent English communication abilities.
