Senior FreeCAD Mechanical Engineer

micro1 is seeking a Senior FreeCAD Mechanical Engineer to contribute specialized expertise to a dynamic customer project. In this role, you will apply your deep domain knowledge to help train next-generation AI systems, shaping how models learn and perform through high-quality, real-world engineering input.

Key responsibilities

• Create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD according to project specifications.
• Develop and optimize mechanical assemblies while ensuring best practices in component integration.
• Apply rigorous Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Generate precise technical drawings and documentation for engineering review and downstream processes.
• Conduct thorough engineering QA reviews to identify and resolve design issues.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product design, or industrial engineering with a focus on parametric CAD modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in FreeCAD or equivalent parametric CAD platforms.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, including GD&T and DFM best practices.
• Proven ability to produce comprehensive technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote collaboration.
