Senior Firmware Engineer

Softeq is a global technology company specializing in new product development and R&D, currently seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our Embedded Systems department. You will play a pivotal role in architecting and developing firmware for our new silicon-based products, focusing on the Nordic nRF7120 platform running Zephyr.

Key responsibilities

• Own firmware development on the nRF7120/Zephyr NCS platform, including DK bring-up, Kconfig, device tree structure, and MCU boot/DFU.
• Implement native Zephyr connectivity, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth host, and cellular modem subsystems.
• Manage firmware observability using Memfault to ensure high-quality metrics, coredumps, and OTA campaigns.
• Establish high standards for firmware quality through host-build CI, unit testing, and behavior-preservation harnesses.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional hardware, software, and QA teams to deliver robust business-logic cores.

Requirements

• Over 8 years of hands-on embedded firmware experience, with at least 3 years shipping production Zephyr/nRF Connect SDK code.
• Deep expertise in Kconfig, device tree, C99/C11, CMake, and Git.
• Proven experience with Nordic Semiconductor MCUs and peripherals like PWM, ADC, and UART.
• Background in consumer IoT hardware, such as wearables or connected devices.
• Proficiency in using AI-assisted coding tools and firmware-level power optimization techniques.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to work within CET/EET business hours.
