Senior Financial Systems Analyst

Scentbird is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to join our technology department and serve as a vital bridge between our Finance and Accounting teams and our technical infrastructure. In this role, you will manage and optimize our financial systems, primarily NetSuite, while driving automation and AI-driven improvements to streamline complex business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the functional expert for NetSuite financial processes, including record-to-report, procure-to-pay, and revenue recognition.
• Gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications, while owning the user acceptance testing process.
• Identify and implement AI-driven improvements to automate manual finance tasks, such as document capture, anomaly detection, and reconciliation.
• Manage the financial systems request queue and coordinate work with managed services partners and internal developers.
• Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and training materials to support finance users and ensure data integrity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a financial systems, ERP analyst, or systems accountant role.
• Expert-level proficiency in NetSuite, including saved searches, SuiteAnalytics, custom records, and SuiteFlow.
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles, including general ledger, AP/AR, month-end close, and deferred revenue.
• Proven ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders through clear communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
