Senior FastAPI Developer

comm1t is partnering with a growing technology company that develops advanced AI software for legal and professional services. We are looking for a Senior Python/FastAPI Developer to join their engineering team and help build robust backend services that transform AI capabilities into reliable product features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable APIs and backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Build complex workflows for document retrieval, LLM orchestration, and response streaming.
• Design asynchronous pipelines for document ingestion, embedding generation, and intensive processing tasks.
• Implement evaluation mechanisms to measure and improve the quality of AI-generated outputs.
• Address performance bottlenecks and ensure secure handling of confidential customer data.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in developing production-grade backend systems.
• At least 6 years of experience with Python and 3 years specifically with FastAPI.
• Strong practical knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL, and Redis.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous processing, system reliability, and designing for failure.
• Experience with or strong motivation to work with LLM-based systems, RAG, and agentic workflows.
