Senior Excel/VBA & Office Application Developer (Part time)

We are looking for a professional Senior Excel/VBA & Office Application Developer to join a Zurich-based boutique IT company. You will be responsible for designing and building robust business applications using Microsoft Office technologies, focusing on modular architecture and high-quality, maintainable code.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and support business applications based on Excel, VBA, and other Microsoft Office technologies.
• Develop solutions using modular application architecture, classes, and reusable components.
• Implement structured error handling, debugging, and systematic testing practices.
• Work with data structures, databases, and external data sources to ensure seamless system integrations.
• Collaborate using Git-based workflows and participate in agile development sprints.

Requirements

• Significant commercial experience developing complex business applications in Excel/VBA.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including object-oriented concepts and VBA classes.
• Proven experience working with databases and external data sources from Office/VBA applications.
• Proficiency in using Git or other professional version-control workflows.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients in English.
