Senior Drupal Engineer

Appliscale is looking for a Senior Drupal Engineer to join a high-impact technical SEO team. In this fully remote role, you will take full accountability for the architecture, performance, security, and deployment of a critical production site, bridging custom Drupal backend engineering with modern web standards.

Key responsibilities

• Developing custom Drupal 10 modules using PHP 8.x, Symfony components, and Twig templating.
• Driving technical SEO implementation, including URL structure, redirects, Core Web Vitals, and structured data.
• Monitoring system health and site performance using Datadog to ensure high availability.
• Executing regular security patches, Drupal updates, and core upgrades.
• Supporting the editorial team with CMS workflows and contributing to headless CMS architecture.

Requirements

• 6+ years of production software development experience.
• Hands-on experience in Drupal 10 custom module development.
• Strong mastery of PHP 8.x, Symfony framework, and Twig.
• Solid understanding of technical SEO principles and performance optimization.
• Autonomous, proactive mindset with the ability to take end-to-end ownership of projects.
• Proficiency in English and a degree in Computer Science.
