Senior Drupal Engineer (AWS)

Appliscale is looking for a Senior Drupal Engineer to join a high-impact technical SEO team. In this role, you will take full ownership of the architecture, performance, security, and deployment processes for a critical production site, bridging custom Drupal backend engineering with cloud infrastructure in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Developing custom Drupal 10 modules using PHP 8.x, Symfony components, and Twig templating.
• Managing and maintaining AWS and Docker containerized setups alongside CircleCI deployment pipelines.
• Driving technical SEO implementation, including URL structure, redirects, Core Web Vitals, and structured data.
• Monitoring system health and site performance using Datadog to ensure high availability.
• Executing regular security patches, Drupal updates, and core upgrades.

Requirements

• 7+ years of production software development experience with a Computer Science degree.
• Hands-on experience in Drupal 10 custom module development and mastery of PHP 8.x, Symfony, and Twig.
• Solid understanding of technical SEO principles and practical experience with AWS, Docker, and CircleCI.
• Autonomous, proactive mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and take end-to-end ownership.
• Proficiency in English and experience working with Agile methodologies like SCRUM or Kanban.
