Senior DevOps Engineer with AWS

N-iX is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and design a secure, high-performance file transfer platform for a critical financial services partner. You will be responsible for building isolated AWS environments, managing complex network routing, and ensuring the secure integration of file transfer services within a regulated infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement BGP routing over redundant IPsec VPN tunnels and manage isolated AWS environments using VPCs and Transit Gateway.
• Implement a secure managed file transfer solution integrated with Amazon S3 and internal systems.
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure through infrastructure as code while implementing robust access controls, encryption, and monitoring.
• Define comprehensive file validation, recovery, and failure-handling processes to ensure system reliability.
• Produce detailed architecture diagrams, network plans, and operational runbooks while coordinating delivery across multiple technical teams.

Requirements

• Extensive production experience with AWS infrastructure, networking, VPCs, Transit Gateway, and BGP routing.
• Strong proficiency with Amazon S3, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, and VPC endpoints.
• Proven experience with managed file transfer platforms and external partner integrations.
• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Solid troubleshooting skills in network, Linux, and application environments.
