Senior DevOps Engineer

Avid is a leader in technology and collaborative tools, empowering creators to produce inspiring content for global audiences. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help accelerate the testing, release, and deployment of applications on our cloud platform, Avid Content Core, which operates as a multi-tenant SaaS on AWS EKS.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and employ GitOps-based Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices using tools like ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.
• Implement industry-standard delivery patterns such as progressive delivery, blue-green, and canary rollouts.
• Identify and automate manual processes, focusing on multi-tenant provisioning and infrastructure-as-code.
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors and design robust procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Guide teams in designing and deploying software changes with a strong focus on per-tenant isolation and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in designing large and complex cloud environments.
• Proficiency with AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Istio, and ArgoCD.
• Strong programming skills in high-level languages like Python, Go, or Java for automation and provisioning.
• Solid understanding of application development methodologies and microservices architecture.
