Senior DevOps Engineer

Saphetor is a global precision medicine company dedicated to enabling the use of comprehensive human genome data to improve health outcomes worldwide. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering organization and support the full lifecycle of our systems, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the platforms that power VarSome.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
• Develop and manage secure network architectures, including VPCs, subnets, and load balancing.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Workflows or Cloud Build for seamless delivery.
• Design and manage scalable logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure system health.
• Automate operational tasks using Python and Bash scripting to improve overall efficiency.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with at least 4 years in UNIX/Linux environments.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and cloud networking principles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud providers, specifically GCP or OCI.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in Agile environments.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
