Railsware is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of Mailtrap's production infrastructure. You will be responsible for evolving our multi-region AWS platform while leading a strategic initiative to migrate selected workloads to bare-metal infrastructure to optimize performance and costs.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and evolve our multi-account and multi-region AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
- Ensure zero-downtime deployments and maintain high reliability through effective monitoring and capacity planning.
- Design and implement a bare-metal landing zone, managing the end-to-end migration process from business case to final cutover.
- Maintain hybrid connectivity between AWS and rented infrastructure, ensuring a unified and secure platform.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve release automation, security baselines, and production readiness.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience in senior DevOps or platform engineering roles with production ownership.
- Deep expertise in AWS services, including VPC, ECS, IAM, and networking.
- Advanced proficiency in Terraform and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Strong Linux networking skills and experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
- Proven track record of planning and executing infrastructure migrations to on-premise or private cloud environments.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
