Senior Developer

Significance, Inc. is a woman-owned consulting firm dedicated to supporting federal civilian and Department of Defense missions. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of secure, scalable cloud-based integration solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Amazon API Gateway and backend services like AWS Lambda and EC2.
• Develop event-driven architectures utilizing Amazon S3, SQS, and SNS for efficient data processing.
• Manage cloud-native data solutions with Amazon RDS while ensuring high data integrity and reliability.
• Implement robust security measures, including IAM policies, VPC configurations, and data encryption to meet ATO requirements.
• Automate infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Requirements

• Over 15 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on AWS cloud environments.
• Proven expertise in API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, and various RDS database engines.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, integration patterns, and secure system design.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, and security groups.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
