Senior Design Engineer, Growth

PandaDoc is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our Growth track, acting as a bridge between design and engineering. You will play a pivotal role in accelerating our product development by transforming prototypes into production-grade React code, helping our team validate ideas faster and more effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Prototype AI-native concepts into production-grade React code, managing layout, interaction, motion, and accessibility.
• Own key Growth surfaces end-to-end, ensuring high performance and quality.
• Define the quality ceiling for AI-assisted development by creating reusable patterns and setting standards for the team.
• Improve internal processes and prompt libraries to enable designers and engineers to work more efficiently.
• Trailblaze the Design Engineer function, shaping how this role operates within the organization.

Requirements

• Strong experience in both design and front-end engineering with a portfolio of shipped interfaces.
• Fluency in React, TypeScript, modern CSS, and animation libraries like Framer Motion or React Spring.
• Active, opinionated experience using AI tools like Cursor and Claude Code in a professional workflow.
• Ability to identify workflow bottlenecks and build the tools or patterns to resolve them.
• Comfortable building from scratch and setting direction in ambiguous environments.
