Senior Database Administrator

Atos Poland Global Services is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our international team. In this role, you will manage and optimize PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB databases across diverse cloud and on-premise environments, supporting enterprise-scale systems and contributing to key cloud migration and automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L3 support for PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB environments in both cloud and on-premise setups.
• Diagnose and resolve complex performance and availability issues while maintaining database clusters.
• Manage high availability, replication solutions, and database backup and recovery processes.
• Perform database migrations and automate DBA activities using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers while maintaining detailed technical documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB administration.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with database clusters and tools including PgBouncer, pgpool, and HAProxy.
• Strong knowledge of database installation, upgrades, and performance tuning techniques.
• Practical experience with automation tools like Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
