Senior Database Administrator

Bullhorn is seeking a skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team and ensure the high performance, security, and availability of our critical production environments. You will play a key role in managing our global database infrastructure, primarily focusing on MS SQL Server, while collaborating with development teams to optimize performance and maintain system integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain database system software while implementing robust security measures.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with developers to tune and optimize complex queries.
• Develop and test comprehensive backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Provide technical leadership for database deployments and strategic architectural planning.
• Ensure 24/7 availability of production environments, including participation in a rotating on-call schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-7+ years of experience in database administration with a strong focus on MS SQL Server 2016-2022.
• 3-5 years of experience working with MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Demonstrated expertise in Azure PaaS SQL offerings and database performance optimization.
• Proficiency in PowerShell or Python scripting for automation tasks.
