Senior Data Scientist

Ciklum is a global custom product engineering company seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of core analytical models, conducting rigorous statistical analysis to optimize performance and architecting new predictive solutions to solve complex business challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, deconstruct, and map out complex existing statistical models and algorithms written in R.
• Conduct deep-dive statistical testing to identify areas for performance improvement and efficiency gains.
• Design and implement robust solutions to modernize existing functionality and scale models effectively.
• Build and deploy new analytical features and models from scratch to support emerging business needs.
• Mentor junior data scientists and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on professional experience in data science, statistical modeling, or quantitative research.
• Expert-level proficiency in R programming, including tidyverse and data.table.
• Deep practical knowledge of applied statistics such as hypothesis testing, regression, and time-series analysis.
• Exceptional ability to document complex algorithms and explain technical concepts to stakeholders.
