Senior Data Scientist — AI Evaluation & Quality (Remote)

Finom is a fast-growing European fintech startup dedicated to revolutionizing financial management for entrepreneurs through an all-in-one, AI-powered platform. We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our AI team and take ownership of our evaluation loops, ensuring the highest quality for our AI-driven financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain comprehensive offline evaluation suites, including datasets, judges, and performance metrics.
• Develop and manage online quality dashboards to monitor resolution rates, latency, and user feedback signals.
• Analyze production data to identify failure patterns and translate them into actionable regression cases.
• Refine evaluation methodologies, focusing on judge stability and the effective handling of non-deterministic outputs.
• Collaborate closely with AI engineers and product teams to drive data-informed decision-making.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for end-to-end data analysis.
• Solid foundation in statistics, including hypothesis testing and variance analysis.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on solving business problems rather than just using tools.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science or analyst roles, with at least one year in a product-focused environment.
• Genuine curiosity and fluency in using AI-assisted coding tools for daily tasks.
