Senior Data Platform Engineer

Svitla Systems is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join a team supporting one of the world's largest and fastest-growing job sites. This role focuses on modernizing data infrastructure, managing migrations, and ensuring the reliability of complex data platforms in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Migrate acquired infrastructure and data-platform workloads to the client's standardized environment.
• Modernize data architecture, orchestration, and storage practices to align with organizational standards.
• Support Snowflake, Confluent/Kafka, and AWS infrastructure operations across development and production stages.
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and the creation of comprehensive technical documentation.
• Utilize Terraform and Infrastructure as Code to deliver repeatable, secure, and auditable system changes.

Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in a senior role with a strong background in production data-platform engineering and DevOps.
• Proficiency in Python, bash, and SQL.
• Deep production experience with either Snowflake or Confluent/Kafka, combined with solid AWS knowledge.
• Proven ability to manage migrations across development, staging, and production environments.
• Strong commitment to secure operational practices, including secrets handling and least-privilege access.
