Senior Data Engineer/Architect (AWS)

Join Chaos Gears, a leading AWS Partner in Europe, and help us reshape data platforms from the ground up. As a Senior Data Engineer/Architect, you will work within our Data & AI team to design and build scalable, cloud-native solutions for clients in regulated industries, taking full ownership of your work from design to production deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Data Lakehouse and Warehouse architectures on AWS.
• Build and maintain ELT pipelines using dbt, dltHub, and Airflow.
• Design orchestration layers and manage migrations between them.
• Ensure data quality, observability, and lineage across the entire platform.
• Collaborate with a small engineering team and contribute to high-level technical decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with production-grade delivery.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and at least one modern orchestration tool, preferably Airflow.
• Solid Python skills and experience building and operating data pipelines.
• Familiarity with data lake/lakehouse concepts, including Apache Iceberg and batch/streaming architectures.
• Comfort with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform.
• Fluency in both English and Polish at a C1 level.
