Position:

For our Client we are looking for Senior Data Engineer

Are you passionate about data engineering and developing data products that enable business decisions with large financial and strategic impact? Do you want to take lead on helping the team define what good data products and delivery flows look like? If so, consider joining as a Senior Data Engineer!

The Position:

As the new Data Engineer, you will support the development and professionalisation of the data foundation in the PS Sustainability team, monitoring and reporting sustainability metrics across all of Product Supply, Quality and IT (PSQIT).

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:

  • Design, develop, test and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate data workflows
  • Utilize Databricks to build scalable data solutions and optimize performance
  • Ensure data quality, integrity and security across all data engineering processes
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and Ways of Working
  • Establish and promote best practices for version control using git
  • Collaborate with the PS Sustainability team to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team

Several business-critical data products and models already exist and require maintenance and improvement, while the department itself is undergoing a major transformation. This role involves taking on key responsibility in the ongoing development and maintenance of the data foundation. Work is carried out in product teams in an agile setup with clear priorities, collaborative processes, and curious minds.

To thrive and succeed, you are expected to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, complemented by experience in data engineering. A master’s degree is preferred
  • Extensive experience with Git and managing version control in a collaborative environment
  • Proven track record of implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong proficiency with Databricks and its ecosystem
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies
  • Experience with agile methodologies and digital transformation initiatives
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Domain leadership experience, i.e., capability to mentor and guide team members
  • Fluency in English
  • Availability to travel onsite in Copenhagen, Denmark, on a need-to basis

It will be considered an advantage if you have experience with:

  • Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Fabric (particularly Power BI)
  • No-code, low-code tools like Alteryx
