Senior Data Engineer

Kodify Media Group is a rapidly expanding company with over 15 years of success in producing world-class video content and managing high-traffic websites. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our international team and help us evolve our data platform, which supports products serving nearly 100 million unique visitors every month.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines from various source systems into our analytical warehouse.
• Drive our dbt project by managing structure, conventions, testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Own and evolve our semantic layer to ensure metrics are defined centrally and consumed consistently across the organization.
• Champion data governance, including cataloging, documentation, and end-to-end lineage to ensure data reliability.
• Optimize warehouse performance and mentor the wider team on engineering practices, SQL, and Python.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer with a proven track record at scale.
• Expert-level PostgreSQL skills and hands-on experience with columnar databases like ClickHouse, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• Strong production experience with dbt and modern data modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering, including pipeline development and API integration.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and modern software engineering practices.
• Strong sense of ownership and a collaborative mindset with experience mentoring junior team members.
