Senior Data Engineer

iTeamly is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a specialized team focused on transforming social media data from platforms like TikTok and Reddit into actionable trend signals. You will be responsible for the entire data layer, including the development of robust pipelines, data modeling, and ensuring high signal quality for our core products.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and model large-scale social media datasets to support trend analysis.
• Build and maintain dbt models and data pipelines, incorporating automated tests to ensure data quality.
• Prototype pipelines and metrics for new data sources to evaluate their business utility.
• Collaborate on mapping trend signals to business categories through taxonomy and validation.
• Develop quick prototypes to validate technical approaches with stakeholders while maintaining clean, reusable code.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with dbt, including building and testing complex models.
• Advanced SQL proficiency, specifically with window functions, CTEs, and incremental logic.
• Strong Python skills for API extraction, data cleaning, and pipeline scripting.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Proficiency in using Git and AI-assisted coding tools to take full ownership of deliverables.
