Senior Data Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our client's team, a global leader in blockchain analytics, to help architect and scale critical data infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Architecting and implementing large-scale distributed data systems and pipelines that serve as the backbone for advanced crypto intelligence products.
• Driving technical decision-making for batch and streaming data solutions, focusing on scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers and data scientists to build customer-focused features.
• Mentoring engineers and championing best practices to raise the quality bar across the entire development team.
• Taking shared ownership of data systems from initial design through deployment and ongoing support.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and maintaining distributed data systems within a cloud-based environment.
• Strong proficiency in Scala and hands-on experience with big data frameworks like Spark or Databricks.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, and strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to navigate complex trade-offs between scalability, performance, and cost while communicating these clearly to stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in English for international collaboration and Polish for internal team coordination.
