Senior Data Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Reverse-engineer and analyze existing behavioral data pipelines, mapping data flows, transformation logic, schemas, and dependencies.
• Evaluate new data sources for schema compatibility, quality risks, mapping gaps, and performance benchmarks.
• Document schema equivalencies, technical comparisons, and data quality mitigation strategies.
• Partner with design teams to produce architectural specifications for a unified, scalable future-state pipeline.
• Ensure data accuracy, output consistency, and system performance during migration planning.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional data engineering experience focused on ETL/ELT pipelines, data mapping, and reverse engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python or Scala for data profiling and transformation analysis.
• Strong experience with cloud and big data platforms, specifically AWS services like S3 and Redshift, and Apache Spark.
• Deep understanding of behavioral data architectures, event-driven ingestion, and complex schema mapping.
• Excellent technical documentation skills and the ability to deliver high-quality results independently.
