Senior Data Engineer

Fun Crafters is building a new mobile game with the ambition of reaching hundreds of millions of users and processing billions of events every day. We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to build our data infrastructure from the ground up and contribute to key architectural decisions as a founding member of our data team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build our data platform powering product insights, LiveOps, and marketing.
• Develop and maintain high-quality data pipelines that transform raw gameplay data into clean, structured datasets.
• Collaborate with analysts and game teams to understand data needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Define data quality standards and build automated monitoring, alerting, and validation systems.
• Promote best engineering practices including observability, testing, performance optimization, and reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a track record of building scalable data platforms.
• Expertise in cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and modern data stack tools like dbt.
• Hands-on experience with ETL orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and analytics best practices.
• Proficiency in Python and strong skills in writing and optimizing SQL.
