Senior Data Engineer

Keyrock is a leading digital asset market maker and innovator, operating at the intersection of high-frequency trading, DeFi, and Web3. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our newly formed Central Data Team and help build the foundational data platform that powers our global trading operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build resilient streaming and batch pipelines to ingest, normalize, and distribute market and portfolio data.
• Develop self-serve tooling and SDKs to empower other teams to build on our data products autonomously.
• Design and evolve our lakehouse architecture and time-series layers to support high-performance query patterns.
• Implement robust data governance, quality frameworks, and observability to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and architecture teams to maintain high standards for performance and cost-efficiency.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building production-grade data systems that are reliable and scalable.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with a deep understanding of engine performance.
• Proven experience designing streaming systems using tools like Kafka, Redpanda, or Kinesis.
• Hands-on experience with time-series databases and lakehouse architectures.
• Strong operational mindset, treating infrastructure as code and prioritizing self-healing systems.
