Senior Data Engineer

RemoDevs is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a specialized team working on a high-impact enterprise data platform. You will collaborate with experts on large-scale Data & AI initiatives across Europe, focusing on critical sectors such as national defense, customs, and healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Connect diverse data sources including APIs, databases, IoT devices, and logs.
• Develop scalable data processing solutions using Spark and SQL.
• Organize data architecture using Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• Implement automated data quality checks and ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
• Advanced SQL skills with expertise in query optimization and data modeling.
• Proven experience with distributed processing tools like Spark or Flink.
• Proficiency in workflow orchestration using tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
• Strong understanding of analytical data modeling and data formats like Parquet or Avro.
