Senior Data Engineer

SecurityScorecard is the global leader in cybersecurity ratings, helping organizations monitor and mitigate risks across their digital footprint. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing technology team and contribute to the development of reliable, scalable, and maintainable data-driven products.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle, from design and development to deployment and maintenance.
• Own end-to-end projects, collaborating with product managers to define requirements and implement high-performance solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while adhering to best practices in design patterns and documentation.
• Support and mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
• Continuously monitor performance metrics and implement comprehensive testing to ensure system stability and uptime.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, specifically building and maintaining big data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Spark and experience with strongly-typed languages such as Scala or Java.
• 3+ years of experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with external services.
• Strong understanding of version control tools like Git and a commitment to clean code principles.
